OMG OMG OMG

I just got back from seeing Iron Man.

I was never a big Iron Man fan growing up, despite my family's general passion for Marvel. It was one of those titles that we'd only pick up when one of the special crossover arcs was going on (Infinity Gauntlet anyone?

), but otherwise I wasn't into it. In fact, I don't think I ever really understood the point, or that Tony Stark could take the suit off. That's how little I read it.
But Holy $%^& I loved the movie. Robert Downey Jr. is going on my list of five, that's for sure. Right up there with Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman.

And who says girls don't like comic books (or comic book movies

)?

I love action flicks that can hold my attention, ones that have true suspense and not just a bunch of random chases and explosions, which I find boring. Get me truly worried about how everything is going to turn out, and it actually releases adrenaline into my system. I'll be on a high for a few more hours. It's like the rush from a ridiculously good coaster, only sustained over two hours. Not that every Marvel based film has been good, mind you. *coughGhostcoughRidercoughanyonecough?* But I think I liked Iron Man even more than Spiderman 2, and that's saying something.
We actually got to see the end spoiler twice, since we were about a half hour early for the film, and the usher let us back anyway.

Now I have to look up everything, because I never really read all that stuff. The guy next to us was more shocked at who was in it, rather than what it was about. He was funny.

Nothing much else of consequence to mention. I'm about done matching up guns and such with Transformers. Turns out the toys I couldn't i.d. at first are actually Gobots.

I wonder for the figures that aren't complete if I could get more money by selling the guns and such separately.

Oh, I got my tax refunds back.

It's about $1000 all together.

I might be going out tomorrow with my aunt and her neighbor for Mother's Day. That will be nice. Not sure if Bonnie will be up to it, since she's a brand new mom (again, after many years). I'd like to see the baby though.
Oh, and there's a carnival up in the mall parking lot. I'm thinking of taking my camera and tripod up tomorrow for some night shots.

~Tina
