~this-is-xenocide requested Wolfwood from Trigun. I had to really resist the urge to reread the entire series while looking for refs. God I love Trigun.

And so continues my series of angry men portraits. Manga guys are sexy when they're angry.

Refs used were from the manga, so that's why this is under books. One ref was used for his expression, but it was just a face shot, so I had to use many multiple refs to try and get his hair and shirt in any semblance of looking right. I am not good with clothes.

Method: Charcoal Reduction
Materials: 4B and 6B condensed black charcoal sticks, 2B 4B and 6B black charcoal pencils, white charcoal pencil, white condensed charcoal stick, kneaded rubber eraser, pink pearl plastic eraser, bristol board paper, fingers for blending and shading, dry wash cloth and Lava brand soap for clean-up.
Time: about 3 hours
Size: 11x14
Notes: the photo is a lot starker than the original. The pencil strokes are not nearly as noticeable in person. I should have given him some whiskers. Wolfwood usually has some whiskers. Maybe I will add a few before I 'fix' him with fixative.
