Oh good lord where in the world do I start?

Mom woke me up today, and she had a certain something in her voice, a certain something that wakes me up immediately and freaks me out, like the world is coming to an end. It wasn't quite that but she certainly was upset and I shall explain why.
Early this morning, I was lying in bed doing some puzzles; I could hear the neighbors come home and I thought that they got out the ATV to ride around in, which they've done before in the middle of the night, so I didn't think much of it except that they were drunk and being stupid again. Except they were doing a lot more than that.
They took their big pick-up out onto the golf course, and ripped the hell out of the 6th green, as well as a lot of the rough around that hole, doing doughnuts, mind you, in the grass. They also decided to do doughnuts on the 13th green, and the 14th fairway, and ripped the hell out of the lawn around the building we live in.
13th Green:

6th Green:
The greenskeeper finds the greens this morning and calls the police, and it doesn't take much to figure out who did it, since the tracks lead back to the house and the driveway is littered with bits of mud and green. But of course the guys deny they even know anything about it, so the cops (three of them, each with their own cruiser) arrest my neighbor for lying to the police, as well as his cousin or friend or whatever the relation is between them. Turns out that my neighbor wasn't allowed to own any weapons because of earlier run-ins with the law, so they confiscated the shotgun they found in his apartment and now he's up on weapons charges, along with $50,000 - 100,000 worth of property damage and lying to police. His girlfriend also nearly got arrested but she eventually stopped lying and fessed up to the cops about what she knew, and because she has a 9 month old baby they didn't arrest her.
They've been on a month by month lease and now, understandably, my uncle is evicting them. I feel bad for the girl and her baby; she's only 23 and has been a stay at home mom for the last year. I guess she'll have to move in with her mother.
At what point does one think that it's a totally fun and cool thing to take a pick-up out onto a golf course to do doughnuts? Especially one you live on and owned by your landlord? The damage to the 6th, although extensive, looks like they were just drunk beyond words, but the damage on the 13th looks malicious and planned - they came from the main road, did a few doughnuts directly on the green, and then drove off. I just don't know what to think.
Anyway, mom and I both got less than 4 hours of sleep and spent about 2 hours walking the course to get pictures of the damage. I'll be posting a few to my gallery, so everyone can see what you shouldn't do when you get too drunk.

In happier news, today is my kitties birthday. Happy b-day to Bims and Thomas, who are 1 year old today.
